Independence Day

With genuine apology to Caty and Helen! This just made me giggle.

In general, I don’t talk, tweet, post, or blog about politics in America.

I do my civic duties, I try to be the best member of society I know how, and I always take my turn and vote my conscience.

I am proud to be an American. I love my country, and the blessings she has surrounded me with. I love the opportunities that abound here, for me, and my children. I love the beauty of this country, the hope it embodies. I feel truly blessed to call the United States of America my home.

Happy Independence Day!

  1. Happy Independence Day to you and your family.

As a nation, we are not perfect and having traveled the world I can comfortably say I would never want to live anywhere else.

  2. Sorry I missed it, but Happy Independence Day for yesterday!
Having the 4th of July as a birthday does have it’s drawbacks, I can’t count the amount of times someone has looked surprised and declared, ‘Oh, American Independence Day!’ Like I didn’t know,
bless’em. I think it’s the second most memorable date, after Christmas?
Anyway, I love the thought of you all letting off fireworks and a party for everyone, and all on my birthday.
Yep, it’s all really about ME πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—

    1. We had a huge parade here in your honor. There was a classic cars, antique tractors, lots of candy throne, lots of horses ridden, and. All done in 92Β° heat with like 100,000% humidity. Hope you appreciated it!
